Matkatunnelmia lauantaiaamulta Helsinki-Vantaalta. Voi sitä tunnetta, kun mahanpohjassa kipristelee, kun kaikki jännä on vielä edessäpäin! En tiedä olenko fiilistellyt mitään toista matkaa näin paljon etukäteen. Olen asunut Los Angelesissa 2007-2008, ja palaan kaupunkiin yhä uudelleen ja uudelleen aina yhtä haltioituneena. Tästä alkaa samalla myös meidän kesäloma, joten lentokoneen ikkunasta näkyneet valkoiset pilvenhattarat kuvasivat varsin osuvasti myös tunnetilaamme. <3
Matka-asun kulmakiviksi muodostui Sydneystä hankittu Helen Kaminskin leveälierinen hattu ja Dieselin Black Gold -malliston nahkatakki, koska en halunnut sulloa kumpaakaan matkalaukkuun. Olin ilahtunut siitä, miten hyvin ne sopivat yhteen! Totta puhuen en tiedä, olisiko hoksannut yhdistelmää muuten edes testata.
Pidän takistani to-del-la paljon. Se tuo asuun kuin asuun kivasti särmää. Patrik ei yleensä innostu tästä bikerista sen aavistuksen nousevien olkapäiden takia, mutta tämä näyttävä kokonaisuus sai erityistä kiitosta. :)

Greetings from Helsinki-Vantaa! I love that feeling at the airport, when you have butter flies in your stomach and everything exciting still lies ahead! I do not know if I have ever waited for any trip this much. I used to live in Los Angeles in 2007-2008, and I keep on coming back over and over again – and always feel as thrilled. <3
Hat with a wide brim from Helen Kaminski and leather jacket from Diesel were the cornerstones of my travel outfit. The selection criterion was purely practical this time: I did not want to squash them into the suitcase. I was positively surprised how well they matched together! I must admit, I might not have tried otherwise.
I adore my biker jacket; it adds a little bit of edge to an outfit. Patrik is not very keen on it (because he does not like the slightly elevated shoulders of the jacket), but this combination got plenty of compliments from him as well. :)
